A distribution grid produces more data than any control room can watch. Smart meters report every fifteen minutes; substations stream load and voltage; field crews file inspections. Inside that data are the signals of theft, failing equipment and configuration errors, but they are buried in volume. Operators end up reacting to outages and complaints instead of preventing them.
How it works
OffGrid AI ingests meter and substation data, learns what normal looks like for every point on the network, and scores deviations. Each anomaly comes with the factors behind it, so an engineer can judge it in seconds. Suspected non-technical losses are ranked into inspection queues sized to the crews available. Substation trends feed maintenance planning. Everything is visible in dashboards and flows out to the work-order system the operator already uses.
The system grew out of our anomaly detection work for the Greek distribution operator, where inspection capacity, not data, was the bottleneck.
